In Modern Greek, sensible for this recent word, it would be something like αίβοφοβία. I say something like rather than specifying exactly because this lowly worm of a scrivener feels that even the modern monotonic convention may differentiate the stress on the two usages of iota. That kind of distinction would be one that Paul is well-suited to make. The second mistake only applies to those who do not routinely think in multiple languages and orthographies because the easy acceptance that one who does swim in these waters might all of a sudden forget how to flap his arms while swimming is a grievous error. Do not compound these errors with a third occurance. For now on, the correct reply is: "O Captain! My Captain!" |
