Move 9
Bishop from f1 to c4.
|
That would allow us to castle next move
|
Having said that, e2 might be a better square for our bishop because Black could play d6 followed by Bg4
|
I advocate moving our King's bishop to e2, since we want to castle to stay away from Black's queen.
9. Be2 d6 10. O-O [Nbd7 or Bg4 or a5]? |
If we want to attack queenside then Nf3-d2-b3 would be a good move sequence.
Probably better to castle for now though. Be2 gets my vote. We do need to defend against Bg4. They have seemed to avoid doing d6 yet for some reason. Can anyone see any particular reason why they have done this? |

I think that will be their next move. They wanted to get castling out of the way first. I think we need to castle asap with that queen out.
