After doing L4245A and starting L4245B, I'm reasonably convinced that 32/30 with a 250M relation target is about right for 235-difficulty quartic SNFS - these sieve fairly slowly but do not give large matrices, so oversieving is not worth it.

GNFS low-190s with 32-bit LP does seem to benefit from high relation counts; I'm doing one with 33-bit LP to see how that is different. As I've said elsewhere, what GNFS 19x really wants is 16e sieving.

I'm working on a hypothesis that really low mfbr/a allow us to build a nice matrix with fewer relations than one might expect. I'll handle the matrix, as I want to play with the data a little bit.
Gimarel showed the way in the CADO thread with params for C100 using 27LP but mfba/r of 48.5; I've extended his work up to 135 digits, with each test completing in 15-20% less time than previous efforts at the same input size.

I compared this 32a33r hybrid to 32LP previously selected for this size job, and found 40% better yield and 35-40% better sec/rel. I think I only need 30% more relations for the hybrid, so this seems like a win. I also tried rlim=536M; 10% more RAM was needed for the siever with only 2-3% improvement in speed and yield, so I passed.

Carlos suggested this number; the poly-select folks finished their work Friday.

Three large primes on both sides isn't a good idea until GNFS-200+. Also, you made rlambda 2.7, but mfbr 96, which means you aren't actually using 3LP on the r side for most of the Q-range (at higher Q, you might be since 2.7 lambda is sort-of-close to 3.0). Typo, maybe?
