Can I have an update from you all in terms of work available to be added to the grid, 14e and 15e queue? It’s that time of the year again for the Pentathlon ( start 5th May 2020) this year the five projects are chosen by a small group of the organisers which means NFS@Home can be chosen again.
The BOINC Pentathlon consists of 5 disciplines: Marathon (14 days) Sprint (3 days) City Run (5 days) Cross Country (5 days) Javelin Throw (5 x 1 day, only each team's third best daily score counts) |

Not sure if you’re asking me but there’s nothing else in the pipe for 14e AFAIK. Some folks may have factoring jobs that they haven’t made public yet. There are some HCNs ready for 15e of low-ish SNFS. We can bulk up 15e if absolutely necessary but we don’t need a flood. |
I have a 14e C168 from aliquot sequence 434040 for which I am currently running a poly search. Should have it ready to run in a day or so.

Agreed- I have a couple more small numbers ECMed that could feed 14e for a day or two of normal-level activity. 15e has a substantial queue, and there are likely more numbers out there ready to be added once the queue thins. Sean has a C198 about to head into the queue, for instance, and I have a pair of SNFS-265ish.
So, if the challenge can be for 15e only, I think we can keep the beast fed. The only way to keep 14e fed is to send numbers there that really should be done by 15e (like those SNFS-265 I just mentioned); it's about time to retire 14e in favor of either 14e -J to make it 14.5e, or to convert 14e into 15e siever with a strict lim=134M cap to keep memory use down. I wager the inefficiency in running GNFS-160 on 15e is less than e.g.. GNFS175 on 14e, so we could keep doing the smaller numbers on a "new" mini-15e queue. |
I have a couple dozen 29 & 30 bit jobs I am working on. It takes me longer to perform the last ECM curves than it does to sieve them on the grid. In another words, I can't keep the grid fed by myself. I also have a few for 15e but I am already using a third of the queue so I will wait my turn. A 32-bit job for 14e will show up later today.
