May I have 10MQ added to 13_2_867m1? Up to 315M last Q.
Either my estimates were off, or the server belch lost a few relations. 610M on 861 is not enough for density 120, so I'm aiming for 620-625M on 867.

swellman: Done.

Recommend giving special Q on algebraic side from 20M-70M.
Did you really intend the values for r/alim to be 31.8M? Historically these should considerably higher on a 30-bit job.

debrouxl 2018-11-01 11:20

Yeah, we often used 60M, or 2^26-1, for these jobs.

jyb 2018-11-01 18:41
Did you really intend the values for r/alim to be 31.8M? Historically these should considerably higher on a 30-bit job.
Perhaps so. I didn't do this out of any particular planning, it was just ignorance. I had initially looked at making these 29-bit jobs. When I changed them to 30-bit I didn't change those limits.

However, my test sieving suggests that these jobs should complete quickly and without any problems. Is that a fair statement?

And just for my edification, if the limits had been set to more common (i.e. larger) values for 30-bit jobs, would the following statements be correct?

1) For a given range of spec-Q, sieving would give a higher yield.
2) For a given range of spec-Q, sieving would take a little bit more time.
3) Post-processing would take longer.

I assume that the gains from #1 would outweigh the losses from #2, so over all sieving would be faster. OTOH, with a small job like this perhaps it's worth slightly longer sieving if it means shorter post-processing. Thoughts?
