A long slog but it was satisfying in the end. I have the log file if anyone wants it. |

A bit of a disappointing prp56:

ETA F1391
F1391
TD=120 failed in full merge stage, but TD=115 produced a very doable 16M matrix:
linear algebra completed 58438 of 16098485 dimensions (0.4%, ETA 199h37m)
|
A p56 is indeed somewhat disappointing for a number whose SNFS difficulty is such that it should have received at least several t55 ECM work (2/9 of SNFS difficulty rule of thumb hints at t60). I thought Fibonacci and Lucas numbers had received a suitable amount of ECM work ?
Of course, we all know that ECM is a probabilistic algorithm. |
