For speed & prize: SSD(flash) > HDD > tape Anyone uses tape archive at home? I have never used it before. It looks interesting to me. |

It looks interesting to me.[/QUOTE] Flash is faster, of course, if it is on the same SATA interface as the HDD. USB flash drives are usually not as fast as SSDs. I have used tape on a previous job. In general, [URL="http://www.newegg.com/Backup-Drives/SubCategory/ID-46"]tape data drives[/URL] are quite expensive, and the tapes are not cheap, either. These days, HDDs are cheap enough to be viable backup media. |
