That would NOT be nice...

I guess it seems to you like I'm speaking in a foreign language when I contribute new ideas.
"Capitalism and fiefdom in a hardon collider"
But is it a spherical hardon collider in a vacuum? Otherwise, results may be unreliable.
Isn't it interesting what different things different people remember from our discussions.

Even when I have to take the heat, I like this forum.

Good.

The nice thing about this forum is we're all /really/ strong in our domains. And our bullshit detectors are set to extra high.

Consider it a crucible.

Yes, and if I'm a part of the forum, I'm the container.

So all of Capitalism's and free markets' detractors,
how do you define the alternative?
So all of Capitalism's and free markets' detractors,

The alternative:
noun
1. a choice limited to one of two or more possibilities, as of things, propositions, or courses of action, the selection of which precludes any other possibility
2. one of the things, propositions, or courses of action that can be chosen
3. a possible or remaining course or choice

If I had wanted a definition of " " alternative " " I would have asked "How do you define "alternative?" ":

Since I merely wanted a definition of the alternative to Capitalism, whatever you might think that would be,
your answer gives me no alternative  but to resubmit the previous question.

How do you define the alternative to capitalism?

(Non-free markets? Slavery? Communism? Whatever you want to call it.)

I know Chomsky is "revered" in our field (IT and logic are intimately related),
but I don't regard him as an authority on social or economic issues.
I will however give your video post due regard when I can (not yet).
