Move 51
To deal with our attacked bishop and to keep our a pawn defended, we seem to have a choice between 51...Bb4 and 51...Bc3. Can anyone see any other candidate moves?
If 51...Bc3 52.Rc7 we would have the choice of 52...Bb4 which might be similar to playing that move now, or 52...Bd4 after which we have another bishop-knight fortress preventing the approach of their king, like earlier when we stopped their king reaching h5. Of course they can play Rh7 at any point, possibly preceded by h4 before we have time to play ...Kg5, and we're struggling, but we can't prevent that plan of theirs anyway. I like 51...Bc3 at the moment. |
I like Bc3 too because it stops the mobility of White's King if followed by Bd4.

I like either of Brian's proposed moves with a preference to Bc3.

Sorry haven't had time to sit down and look at this. I have just started a new job.

Well, congratulations David! I hope you like your new job! Good luck....

I have also come to the conclusion of Bc3. It doesn't look good for us. I think I will post soon as no one has added anything in a while.

Yes, fine by me to post as soon as you like.
