What kind of Halloween you run and how long does it take to find a zombie

I run
i72720QM
CPU Speed: 2192.14 MHz, 4 hyperthreaded cores

The estimate is around 15 days to complete the smallest available first-time test. What are you running, and how long it takes to complete the assignments ?

re: Headline- it takes a really, really long time to find a mersenne prime. Best wishes this lifetime.

As for time to run a single test, try mersenne.org, menu choice "get started" then "cpu benchmarks".

Was just wondering about the status that we get from Prime95. My status shows Lucas Lehmer test will end after 15 days. Regardless of whether the exponent results in a prime, I was more interested in how quickly people are finishing the LL test.

Core i5 4670K, 11 days for a 64M exponent

i5-4670k, just under 5 days for a 64M test if all 4 threads are used on one test.

Hmm, I wonder how accurate Prime95's "Time" function is.

No, that exponent isn't mine, I picked it up and dropped it just for testing.

How did you get it to show ETA within the main screen like that?

Dunno, you have the latest Prime95? It comes up automatically for me.

I have version 27.9.
Was trying to decide if I wanted to update to the latest version. I only have Sandy-Bridge and not Haswell.

I have 28.5, that's probably why. Why not?

There are some small performance improvements in 28.5 for Sandy Bridge, too.
