I advocate 37.Ra7 Nb3 as this requires an extra move by White's Bishop to attack our Knight. :smile:

Agreed. 37...Nb3. Follows lines analysed last move and we had some hope of preserving the a pawn and holding out.

The point you make about two moves to attack the knight is indeed crucial.

I'm ok with Nb3 based on our previous analysis. I have a two-day duration health, safety and environmental audit by our biggest customer this Wednesday and Thursday so I will not be checking this thread frequently the next few days.

Perhaps we can and should play the move already then? 37...Nb3 does indeed seem to be the only reasonable move. Then, if they're as prompt as they typically are now, we'll be able to work on move 38 when Rich has returned from this assignment.
