We hit the road today for our favorite Illinois state park. Six or seven hours puts us deep in the downstate environs of Giant City State park and Shawnee National Forest.

The Lodge and cabins were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
.
The non-architectural view is one of the namesake "streets" in the "City of Giants."

From the "long arm of coincidence" department: The "On this day" for March 31 has the following item:
In 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Emergency Conservation Work Act, which created the Civilian Conservation Corps.
It reminds me of walks in the beautiful Müllerthal region of Luxembourg, where at some points you have to remove your rucksack and hope you didn't eat too much!

So, the Barbados House House Harriers (the Drinking Club with a Running Problem) had their Annual General Piss-Up (AGPU) this last Saturday.

In my mind, the wonderful thing about this is that all people are welcome. Racism is not even considered. Or, if it is ever encountered, it is confronted with humour.

The run was "live set" by a guy called "Haul-ass"; a middle-aged black guy who can run like the wind. Very few people can "live set".

The Religious Advisor (RA) acknowledged this after the run this way: "I was asked, why are all you white people chasing after that rastaman?

"Don't worry", she answered, "it's all in good fun. We're not going to kill him or anything...

It's really nice being in a place where everyone is very comfortable within their own skin.

I'm a Mersenne!!!! ... in a couple minutes.

Just realized that my age is now a Mersenne prime exponent.

Realistically there are only 11 to chose from.
And unless my Mom typed this you can drop the first 3 or 4,

Those who have followed me here will know the answer.

Not sure if this belongs to this thread but a few weeks ago I decided to give ago on a first attempt for Mersenne numbers and this morning it finished. Run time is not accurate because I’ changed several times from two cores to three cores on my old laptop in function of the room temperature.
