Ryanair flight from Naples to Stansted delayed by 1h55.

“Under European passengers’ rights rules, travellers who arrive three hours or more late at their destination, or whose flight is cancelled at short notice, are entitled to compensation. For flights of under 1,500km the payout is set at €250; for longer flights, €400.”

Some years back my flight from BRQ to STN was delayed by something over six hours because one of their aircraft had broken down somewhere in the UK. Ryanair claimed that they didn't have to pay out because of circumstances beyond their control. I had hours of fun wasting their time and money chasing that one but they never paid.

I know Paul. In the meantime looks like some lightning hit the aircraft fuelling system at Stansted leaving planes unable to refuel. I can see from here our plane is already flying back Naples so I expect to board within 2 hours.

Was wrong, the flight did not departure from STN yet. Will be a funny day today.

I’ve got an email from the company whilst already boarding and now we are stuck inside the plane for another 1h20.
