We purchased our current bike on September 28th. We were gifted heated clothing for Xmas, so we have ridden a lot more this winter than previously.
:mike:
100k in a year? |
So, Linda and I set a hash last Saturday. I walked 21.4 km setting the various trails (runner's and walker's splits, false trails, etc).
People seemed to enjoy themselves. For those who enjoy walking and/or running, I highly recommend finding a local hash (AKA Hash House Harriers, not the drug); different chapters exist all over the world. Their slogan is "A drinking club with a running problem!" so you know it's going to be fun! |
100k in a year?
That is our goal. It will not be easy!

I went ice skating on the "Langeraarse Plassen". It only happens once every ~5 years that it is possible to do that, as it is quite a big body of water (>1 km2)

They're Tour skates (recreational ice skates for natural ice) I wouldn't call them speedskates, but they're not icehockey skates either. The shoe is more or less the same as for Nordic Skiing (cross-country skiing/langlaufen) and the skate is attached at the nose (your heel is loose when you push of hard). |

I figure skated for several years, so that's more or less foreign to me. Especially the "not attached at the heel" bit lol |
Blatant self promotion post (sorry for this)...
My girlfriend's architectural practice's new web site just went live. Making a "mobile friendly" site for such a firm is a royal pain in the butt, but is necessary for SEO rankings. |
