My old PC, purchased in 2007 and put into immediate use on the GIMPS project on which it worked faithfully for more than 10 years, never ever giving a bad result and, in the end, spending about 6 months on each double check, finally packed up last month. It started reporting hardware errors, and the double check being worked on reported a rounding error (unheard of for the machine up until then). So I had to scrap it (and abandon the double check).

Nick immediately helped me acquire a brand new PC which has now been up and running for two weeks and already produced two matching double checks, spending just two weeks where the old one would have taken a year. So I'm not a dinosaur any longer amongst GIMPS participants.

The voters will surprise us sometimes. They sure did last year! This time, though, it was for the better. Turnout was much higher than predicted.

Even Il Duce sent Mr. Jones a congratulatory tweet, thereby acknowledging his victory. But despite that, the losing candidate refuses to concede and is demanding a recount. Which, the margin being 1.5%, three times greater than 0.5% which would trigger an automatic recount, he will have to pay for.

Would you like some cheese with that whine, Mr. Moore?

We were able to log just a little over 70,000 miles on our motorcycle for 2017.

Maybe we can do more in 2018?

:mike:
That's something over 100 times more than what I managed.

Yes, I know I should get out more.

A little napkin math:

If you average 60 MPH (probably generous) they you rode for 1167 hours or over pi hours every day....you must have an awfully tough back-side.
