What Exactly Is a Doctorate?
I have to share this. It is very funny.
What Exactly Is a Doctorate? Ever wondered what getting a doctorate really means? Matt Might, professor of Computer Science at the University of Utah, explains it perfectly in this graphic presentation that starts with a simple circle.—JD Every fall, I explain to a fresh batch of Ph.D. students what a Ph.D. is. It's hard to describe it in words. So, I use pictures. Read below for the illustrated guide to a Ph.D.
Images in here: http://gizmodo.com/5613794/what-is-exactly-a-doctorate PS( I am running for that dent...lol) |

Hmmm it was explained to me this way: I'm not sure is the rest of the world outside of Canada uses these acronyms.....and please don't take offense; just goofing around.
We all know what a B.S. is (... think beyond the obvious Bachelor of Science) Then M.S. is More of the Same. PhD is Piled Higher and Deeper. |

I'm involved with a new company within which I'm surrounded by PhDs... To compensate, I claim to be a PHD -- Pretty Happy Developer. |

PS( I am running for that dent...lol)
Almost everyone here is. Every time you find a large prime or even complete an LLR test, you're adding to the sum of human knowledge. The value of that knowledge, however, is questionable. |
