Seems the first job is almost finished (some 220 curves missing) without any hits, will you please enqueue the second job?

I’ve submitted the second job for 3366 to Yoyo. It should appear in the AS queue overnight.

Eta: Second job enqueued.

Next term at i2207 has a c170 that has survived a t35. I'll have a t40 done this evening, and t45 overnight.

A c170 happens to match our current CADO development attentions, so I imagine EdH or I will NFS this without use of nfs@home if it survives ECM.

EdH 2020-05-13 02:39

If it survives ECM, I should be able to do something with it tomorrow. Do I have a modified c170 params? I'll have to check. . .

VBCurtis 2020-05-13 02:54

Since you asked-- see the new thread in the CADO forum for c170 params.

I'll add some cores to ECM tonight; I should be able to complete a t50 by midday tomorrow. About 2t40 complete now; I'll report progress at the end of my night in case you decide to run some curves in the morning.

Edit: A bit less than a t45 done. Scheduled 3500 curves @6e7 overnight. If I were running this entire job myself, I'd do about 4000 @8e7 next and then NFS; Ed, if you have the hardware to run those curves Wednesday, be my guest.

I wonder if a Colab GPU session could finish stage 1 before its time limit is reached.

4000 curves at 8e7 underway, should be done in a couple of hours.
4000 curves at 8e7 underway, should be done in a couple of hours.
I've also started a Colab instance of 832 stage 1 curves. I expect 8-10 hours for that to complete, though, if it even does. Then stage 2 would need completion, as well.

BTW, if you'd like to grab the NFS for it, feel free. You'd have better data for Curtis.

VBCurtis 2020-05-13 14:42

Overnight: 1600 curves at 6e7, 1900 still scheduled. A bit slower than I expected.

I think I underestimated how much ECM is proper here; when my runs wrap up I'll do 1000 or so curves at 15e7.

EdH 2020-05-13 15:24

I've got some scripts here that will distribute ECM to my machines and count up until stopped (or success). I could start that in a couple hours and see which machines (if any) can handle 15e7.

Could do, but I don't want to leave you without any jobs to run!

4000 curves at 8e7 done, now running 1500 at 15e7. Memory use in stage 2 is peaking just below 1.2G per process.
