I hit it with some ECM and it's now in GNFS (sieving). Should finish factoring Saturday night.
|
Now it's moved to a C132. Ran 900 curves at B1=1M with no factors found. Somebody take it.

C137 @ i2123
2^3 * 3^2 * ... * C137
~400 @ 11e6 found the p42. |
2^3 * 3^2 * ... * C137
~400 @ 11e6 found the p42.
I would take this C137. |
C181 @ i2124
2^3 * 3^3 * ... * C181
2t40 done, no factor. |
Nice work all, with this sequence. Maybe it would be the time to abandon it, if ECM turns out fruitless? I mean, I was the guy who propose it and prop it in the beginning, but now I may be the guy to kill it
I mean, over C180, GNFS is not something easy anymore, and we can concentrate the efforts on pushing other sequences higher. Let this sleep for a while, and in few years we will have better tools (i.e. accessible to "normal" guys like me) to attack it at a cheaper cost (time and electricity). Not that it wouldn't be enough sequences under 120 digits to pick up from... |
