A C176 seems like a nice forum target after M991 is complete. If someone gets ECM started, I'll contribute some curves. Has even a t45 been done yet?
OK, I've got some free time so I'll take it up to at least t45. Shouldn't take long. |

If you want to organise a distributed-sieving job, go for it; C176 is probably fifteen times easier than M991, so it might be a nicer-scale problem for people who don't think of CPU-months as fairly small units to contribute to. If you send a PM to yoyo he might well be willing to run the larger curves on yoyo@home, which can do 30k curves at B1=260M in about a week. |

Ran the following (all with B2=GMP-ECM default) t20: 80 curves at B1=11k t25: 220 curves at B1=50k t30: 430 curves at B1=250k t35: 910 curves at B1=1M t40: 2350 curves at B1=3M t45: 4480 curves at B1=11M with no factors found. Currently running t50:- 7560 curves at B1= 43M (about 2.5 - 3 days to complete). |

Currently running t50:- 7560 curves at B1= 43M (about 2.5 - 3 days to complete).
Completed t50 - no factors found. My batch file had started t55 level when I stopped it - ran 100 curves at B1=110M with nothing found. ETA 15-16 days to complete t55 so dropping at this point. |
I'll queue 18000 curves at B1=110M in yoyo@home. Once the first is completed you can see the progress here http://www.rechenkraft.net/yoyo//y_status_ecm.php.

Just for the record, because I couldn't find what number you where talking about.
sequence 3408 is at i1589 with: 2 * 3[SUP]3[/SUP] * 7 * 11 * 14143346360086898455751[SUB]<23>[/SUB] * 1197411773...77[SUB]<162>[/SUB] |
Yes, I run exactly this C162.
|
A t55 is overkill for a C162. If you get 10000 curves done at 110M, I'll volunteer to take on the GNFS, or at least the poly select if some bigger gun wants to do the sieving (it'll take me 3-4 weeks on a quadcore).

So far 15610 curves @ B1 = 110M done.

OK, I'll begin poly select tonight. |
The matrix is running now. I ran using 14e/32 bit LP, and 240.0M relations at default target density got me an 8.7M matrix. This built on the first filtering attempt, so 240M is not the minimum number of relations for a C162 and 32 bit LP. Factors in ~3 days.
Could someone remind me what the msieve filtering command is to truncate a .dat, so I can see how small a relation set I needed to build a matrix? |
