I will do the polynomial selection for C181_135_109
(probably starting Friday night and running for about a GTX1080-week, given my vacation schedule) |
With the polynomial in http://mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=438402&postcount=654 C178_131_81 is already clearly a GNFS number. (14e GNFS yield 1.53 @ 0.358s/r, SNFS yield 1.109 @ 0.454s/r at Q0=2e8, 32-bit large primes, alim=rlim=2^28). Shall I enqueue it?
.Shall I enqueue it?
Yes, please :)
|
Done; I put it on 15e because that was substantially quicker per-relation, so it may not be sieved for a little while.
|
To avoid confusion: I am running polsel for both C181_135_109 and C182_136_109, should probably be ready to queue up both on nfs@home 15e about second week of August.

Can C174_136_69 go into 15e queue?
It's survived ECM and RichD's poly seems quite good.
A pretty good poly. I was just trial-sieving it this afternoon and queued it on 15e two minutes ago.
It's a good polynomial:
total yield: 50042, q=150010001 (0.16308 sec/rel)
C174 is unambiguous 15e territory: with 14e
total yield: 22088, q=150010001 (0.19385 sec/rel)
|
Max0526 - are you still running CADO on this composite? If so, what is the best poly found so far? This number was projected to be on the borderline of SNFS/GNFS as far as sieving speed and efficiency. After a week of CADO on a C178, I say we can now make a determination and then ask NFS@Home to sieve accordingly.
I stopped running poly selection on C178 (131^81+81^131 cofactor). It was the best poly. |
Fivemack and Max0526 -
My thanks to both of you! |
