Very nice poly RichD. I’m now running 3-4M (the electrician finished early). Hoping to have results in a couple of days, but I won’t publish anything below 2.35 plus a hope it will spin upwards.

My best so far is 2.08, too low. :-(

I have one poly above 2.4:

Now running 4-5M.
Best now 2.09 in range 4-5M. Giving up on going higher with c5 - seems counterproductive. The baseline is looking very strong to me. I can do 500k-1M if it doesn’t step on toes. Or 2-3M. Let me know. |
C173 Poly
A new flare. I think we can put this number to rest. I will wait to see if it can spin up.

I can't spin the poly above. It's a new record. Congratulations, RichD!

AS 3366, iteration 2183
The C196 cofactor of aliquot sequence 3366 has almost completed a full ECM to t60 courtesy of Yoyo@Home, as well as a t55 previous to that. It still has about 475 curves remaining as of this post, but it could be a fun next project.
Suggest anyone interested in searching for a poly start claiming search ranges by the weekend.
n: 8915368211656556990371631798977588135050731989294422390223244172093242398883796971202480932743367251871592723703242961940017754237147099943136947760081921684863663687415781282804315570869806914839
Taking 2-3M, though I won’t start searching until later this week. |
Advice requested:
I'm poly selecting my next personal project, a GNFS-186 (13*2^945-1). I'm still running ECM, but had a free GPU so thought I'd get a head start on poly select. After 2-3 GPU days, out pops a 3.86e-14. The current record for 186 is 3.38, set in 2017. So, expert polyselectors, would you quit the search because you beat the record by 15%? I've done about 10% of the intended effort. Maybe give it another 10%? I mean, this is not far from the record for GNFS185 (4.13e-14, a poly I found for 13*2^962-1 but didn't use because ECM cracked the number). |
C186 and C185
@VBCurtis
Continue the search till tomorrow. Post both polys, maybe they are spinnable. I'll send the results in the morning. Credit for both is yours of course. And congratulations! |
