Yes but that’s far greater than the current record of 7.240e-15. I’ll be happy to produce anything with a 7-handle!
If we use a baseline of 1 GPU-day search time for a GNFS 155 and doubling every 5 dd, a C197 should be poly searched for what, ~11 months? Ouch. Of course this C197 is slow going. Any ideas on the range of c5 we should search? And I presume sextics are off the menu. |
C197
A touch better through 4.5M.

C197 --> 7-handle
spin-off of RichD's first poly:

I am generally happy with any new record, and naturally that took all of one posted poly from about 15 GPU-days (among us) and some Max-magic.
I'll give this another GPU-week, or until we get a 7.6 or higher. Max, please stake out your preferred CADO search region so that I might fire up CADO myself without duplicating your work. |

@VBCurtis
I'll run a maximum range 0-0.5M with the standard CADO parameters. |

Now we have at least two polys to compare.

Since Sean isn't so fast on the small coefficients, I'll stop my run at 6M in favor of 0.5-1M. That is, I'm running 5-6M (almost done) and 500k-1M.
I'll also start CADO at admin=500k with nq=15625. |

One more to try. This may not "spin-up" to an acceptable value.
I should be done with my range by the end of the week..
