How is it that this number is supposedly PRP to every base from 2 to 255, yet has a factor? Can you check that independently? Could it possibly be a Carmichael number?? More likely some error in the PRP check routines used by factordb.
See post 118 in this thread.
I'm going to do a quick run to take care of the ten or so numbers between 1000 and 3000 dd. I'm fine with folks helping with 980 through 1000, btw; those below 980 alone are going to take me quite some time.
I might have turned some of those in, but I'll leave anything else between 1000 and 3000 alone for now. I'll work on 980 to 1000 for my warmer machines and my cold weather machines are running up in the 3xxx area.

BTW, http://www.factordb.com/index.php?id=1100000000909401620

has aborted on me several times after processing all but one test:
Test 34, factoring polynomial, degree 18, bitsize 5557
In the Work report it says:
Status=ABORTED DUE TO INTERNAL ERROR 4.0.2.1
I've had the error before. Marcel said it was a precision problem.
Here is his reply to me way back when.
Hello,

It is indeed a precision problem. Here is a workaround.

Close Primo.
Open the .ini file.
Append the following section and key:

[Setup+]
UGS=0

Save the .ini file.
Run Primo and resume your certification.

"UGS" stands for "Use Galois stuff".
Do not forget to suppress this new section (or to set UGS=1) after
having completed your certification, the phase 2 is slower with UGS=0.

Best,
mm
Thanks Rich, I will try to keep this is mind. I have seen it before, but except for this particular time, I just moved on expecting them to be done on a future run. Of course, this might be the same one and I've happened on it more than once.

It's now in Pakaran's area, so I'll leave it for him to "play" with for now. But, when I run across them in the future, I'll make the adjustment.

I've hit another internal error. This time:
Status=ABORTED DUE TO INTERNAL ERROR 4.19.112.1
The code provided by Marcus worked for this error, as well.

Note: You do need to close and restart Primo!

Now that I have made the change, I seem to have done this long, long ago. What a bummer I had to be reminded by someone else of this.

But, Thanks Rich!

For however short a time, there are no PRPs from 980-1300...(ssshhhh!!!)

EdH 2017-03-20 16:57

@Pakaran: Are you still working on 1000-3000 dd PRPs? If you'd like to just work below 980 for now, unless we get hit with something big again, I can probably keep the range from 980-3200 cleared out, for the next week or so.

Somewhere near the end of the month I'm going to stop working on db stuff for a few days.

pakaran 2017-03-25 02:45

I did a few runs from 1k to 3k, but for now I'm doing the smaller numbers (below 985). I'm having trouble keeping up with even that region. If you want to take everything from 976 up, you're welcome to it. I've got a run downloaded for this weekend of the smallest 500 numbers, and I feel bad hogging all the small numbers when my one laptop can never complete them.

For me to do 975 and down is a lot more reasonable.

I will see if I can clean some of the 976-3200 area out before the end of the month, then. We'll have to see how fast it fills back in after that...

edit: Just to note that my intention isn't to hog either, but rather to try to clear out the region. If others want to claim an area, let me know and I'll leave it alone.

My apologies! Although I intended to do 976 and up, somehow I seem to have grabbed some 975 dd area. I can't undo it, but I will try to be more careful in the future.

If you included any 975 digit numbers in your download, you might wish to do another download.

Again, apologies...

Not a problem, Ed. I had 4 duplicate certs, but I don't know if they were yours, or an error on my part.

In any case, it would now appear that we are very nearly done.
