Ok. Let me offer a fresh perspective, as it were.
Bill seems to be ok, ...maybe stealthy, but otherwise alive and well. He loggged in today and made no action anywhere. Davieddy (by way of PM) complains that he was not let on the team. Here, I don't blame you. Entirely a decision for the team. Suggestions, Laurentii (Comrade Beria, you. Some other people may be wary of having name of Predrag, some other people, Laurentii, .. to that I would say: F... them all. A name does not make a man!): Carry on. Take WMHalsdorf; maybe, take davieddy if you feel like it.. All up to you. You are surely at least +2 points so you can take risks. Play something interesting. Ok? The show must go on. (Even if to please Freddy in heavens.) |
the bishop on c8 really only has one interesting move for me, namely Bg8 this leads to a capture for them if f3+ get involved, the bishop on g7 is still pretty much useless in that no matter where it lands it's either blocked by their piece or our own, f3+ leads to a capture as explained, so it seems a pawn move could be our best move.

I haven't worked out all the combinations for Bf5. A reductiion of materail on the board especial removal of white's bishop threats seems in order.

I am also thinking to Bg4, as being the best move now. On the other hand, attacking their bishop and making place for our to get out (like rook from f moves to e8), is also tempting. We are still good, as we can force that draw if we want (for the newcomers into the team , see the former discussions), with Bf5. Maybe is better to let them move the horse first (either f3 or e2) and do Bg4 after. The horse move in e2 is tempting, and if they do it, we win. As a "strategy" rule, I don't agree that reducing the material helps us, he has the queen, and our best is to hold that queen back. If he gets out with it, we are in trouble. Reducing the material right now helps us to get a draw. Except maybe the case when we get their horse for a bishop. If we do this, we may win. With no horse, he has to give big wood for the pawn. They know, as they repeatedly avoided changing the horse (in d4 for example, few moves ago). I am still thinking into it, I think I will do this over the weekend. So it's either Bg4 or Rfe8, but we also can make a defense move, a6 or Bf5. There are not so many other choices. OTOH, what the other people suggest, for accepting davieddy into the teem? For the record, I got some suggestions from "third" parties that he would be "difficult to handle", and generally we won't need a new Raman in the team, but I somehow like davieddy including his big mouth (I have one too!). So what the other people think? |

Bf5 gets captured and if we respond with a pawn we get doubled pawns if we respond with the rook we get a captured rook and the possibility of doubled pawns the only reason for them not to capture is the loss of their queen if they double capture. |
