I finished a ll test issued by gpu72 (finally) but on gpu72 it says:

Sorry. I'm stupid...

I granted you access to fetch LL/DC work, but I didn't ask for your PrimeNet Display Name. This is what Spidy needs to know to grant you the "credits" for LL and DC work.

The warning you reported is a safety feature, intended to warn people if they've been "poached".

I really need to climb back into the GPU72 code base to fix some bugs, and add some needed features....

I think stupid is probably a stretch. :)

That's very kind. Thank you.

Anyone who makes a mistake must accept being called stupid.

It's part of the kind of work we do. Some are comfortable with it. Others, not so.

I'd say that anyone (especially anyone writing code) can make a stupid mistake, but it doesn't mean you're stupid.

Thank you.

I try to hold myself to the highest of standards.

If I don't, someone else will. My bosses. LaurV. Or Dubslow. Et al.

Yes, I'm paranoid. The question is am I paranoid enough?

LOL...

There's a lot to be said for being paranoid.

Aramis Wyler 2013-03-16 05:03

Well you know what they say about being paranoid.

You only have to be right once. :D

Even a stopped clock is right - twice a day.
(It can be argued that for this objective function [number of times being right per day], it is more precise than almost any running clock.)
