My help finding a new prime is not working out, and now I can not figure out how to uninstall the self starting program. I was told to delete the exe file... what is the file called> I have around 5000 exe files...

I am sorry about the breakup on Valentines...I still love you! AK[/QUOTE] I suppose you are running on Windows. The program is called [COLOR="Red"]prime95.exe[/COLOR]. If you installed from the autoextracting executable, there should be a "Uninstall" option on the contextual menu. This option will uninstall the program and all the relative stuff. Before uninstalling, check on the program menu for the "quit GIMPS" option: this way you will do a clean update of the server. If you already run part of your assignment, there should be backup files named Pxxxxxxx.bu on the installation directory. You can copy your exponent number and the backup files on a common place (like dropbox), so that your work won't be lost. Let us know about it... Luigi :smile: |
