It would be very nice if the information about other work done on this new Mersenne prime exponent were not ereased from the database. I guess it would be nice for those who earlier did trial factoring on the exponent to notice this and get the feeling that they also contributed to the new discovery.

The Trolls are convinced they have the right exponent and have saved the relevant information. Or, they are smoking catnip again. Either way, the outcome will be interesting.
.
Really sounds like all you need is curtisc lol
Curtisc is a big player, to be sure, but his yearly throughput is less than 10% of that of GIMPS as a whole. GIMPS would not be nearly as far along as it is, nor would it have fourteen discoveries under its belt, if not for the contributions of every single user, from the smallest TF assignment to the largest LL test.

We, in fact, need more participants and more computers in order to march on towards M49!
Congratulations everyone. We couldn't have done it without you!
Nor us without you. Thanks so much for your development, leadership, and continued support of the project!!! Let's go find another one!

Congratz to GIMPS!
I think I *might* have found it, but no way to know for sure. My encrypted guess is: 1B20E47F7E
Alas, I was wrong but close :) 0x1B20E47F7E = 116515962750 = 57881749*2013 + 2013

57885161 was one of the other exponents in 57M I had looked at, but I chose 57881749 because curtisc had done P-1 on it.
