k=277

I'd like to reserve k=277. I'll sieve from n=100k to fill the gaps on Keller's list.

There are only two k<300 without 10,000+ digit primes and one of them is k=277. The largest known prime is 277*2^17357-1 (5228 digits). The other one is k=253, n_max=27623, checked by Joss to 1166k.

125*2^418034-1 is prime.

I hope.

finally!

Finally, a new prime for me!:banana:

199*2^263051-1 is prime!

And suddenly , out of nowhere:

93*2^362268-1 is prime! :w00t: 109056 digits!

nice one

Templus, congrats on your first prime with more than 100,000 digits :cool:

The status page has been updated with new primes, and new reservations. I also cancelled reservations by Joss and Jeffrey since I heard nothing from them in more than a year (they are listed at the bottom of the page). I also cancelled all reservations by "Prime Search" project in the k=250-300 range since according to their home page nobody is working on them beyond 260k (with exception of k=253 which they have reserved to 420k, but Joss already checked it to 1166k).

To Keller and Chaos:

You reserved several k's as follows:
Keller: 99, 237, 241
Chaos: 81, 127

but I haven't heard from you in a long while. Are you still working on these numbers? Please note that if you don't respond by March 31 (2006) I'll cancel your reservations. Thanks.

Keller promptly replied to my PM and informed me that he would like to release all his reserved k's. Therefore k=99, 237 and 241 are now available for tests. I'll mark them free in the next update of the status page.

k=139

k=139 tested to 400k complete with 2 primes already reported. Will continue this k when I complete re-test.

Just a status update

k=69 tested up to 640k
k=195 tested up to 400k
k=223 tested up to 770k
k=231 tested up to 790k

I'm still running these 4.
