k=35
I'd like to reserve k=35 from 210k.
Progress of my other k's: k=13, checked to 945000 k=21, to 553000 k=77, to 310000 |
status report on k=241
Unfortunately there were no new primes found for k=241.
k=241 checked to 200000 , no new primes found reserving k=235 to 150000 , so someone else can test 150000 - 200000 to minimize the efforts and time. |
Only one to go!
Shall we turn off the lights? 253 is almost done to 1000000 so I'm taking 191 also to 1000000 I'll make the sieve file from 1-10M available then. Joss |
UPdate k=185
k=185 is checked from 128100 to 200000, & is only prime for 133346.

Update k=235
k=235 is checked to n=150000 and is prime for 136767
so: 235*2^136767 = prime! 41174 digits Checking k=235 from n=150000 to n=200000 |
k=31 to 500000
I have checked 31*2^n-1 to 500000 and found the following primes: 1, 5, 7, 11, 13, 23, 33, 35, 37, 47, 115, 205, 235, 271, 409, 739, 837, 887, 2189, 3465, 4653, 5073, 8011, 8061, 21957, 24589, 25657, 44653, 50321, 57647, 62083, 78179, 80021, 81655, 111667, 150265, 177089, 196433, 274115, 306751, 311389, 315523. I quitting, so k=31 is up for grabs.
I have also checked k= 279 from 130000 to 135000, 145000 to 155000, & 165000 to 185000 with no primes found. Harvey563 :cool: |

k=235 is now checked until n=180k and no new primes were found.
I expect to finish the range by monday. Templus |
revision on previous reply
I was a little too quick with making my previous post, in fact I indeed found a prime until n=180k:
235*2^178739-1 = prime! |
Templus congrats! This prime is large enough to report to the Top-5000 list of primes. Please check http://primes.utm.edu for details. The procedure is described here. First create a new prover account for yourself, giving your real name and your mail address. Then you should create a new proof-code listing yourself, LLR, and the sieving software you used (NewPGen ?). After that you can submit the prime using the created proof-code. If you have any questions please mail me either at Yahoo, or using the forum private mail.
By the way, 35*2^246732-1 is prime, k=35 checked to n=250000, further tests in progress. |
k=235 is finished until n=200000 ! and my new prime number is....:
235*2^191973-1 is prime
I also posted this prime to the top5000 primelist. I'm going to work further on k=235, I already made a sievefile until n=400000 |
k=11 and k=29 status
k=11 is tested up to n=700000 [continuing]
k=29 is tested up to n=1000000 [continuing] And the big surprise: 11*2^696438-1 is prime! :banana: :banana: :banana: -- Thomas11 L10 |
