Today is New Year's Day 2014.

(Happy and healthy New Year to all.)

1/1/2014

1+1+2+0 = 1*4

(I know that's poor, but I needed something there.)

2014 is BBC in base 13.

Uncwilly 2014-01-13 23:34

Today: 1 + 13 = 14 or 13 + 1 = 14

Uncwilly 2014-01-15 00:25

Today, Jan 14, 2014

1 = [SUP]14[/SUP]/[SUB]14[/SUB]
1 + 14 + 14 = 29 = Prime
1 + 14 + 2014 = 2029 = Prime

Uncwilly 2014-01-17 07:14

Missed posting on Jan 15:

15 - 1 = 14 (all UK style and all)
1 * ( 15 + 14 ) = 29 = Prime

Uncwilly 2014-01-17 07:17

Jan 16:

1 + 16 + 14 = 31 = Prime
16 - 14 + 1 = 3 = Prime

LaurV 2014-01-17 07:22

16+14-1=29 prime  (exponent of the third "composite mersenne")
16*14-1=223 prime  (divides the forth "composite mersenne") hehe... etc...

[edit: 2^16+1 fermat prime, still didn't decide what to do with 14 in this case...]

[edit 2: ok, 14<<16-1=917503. prime :w00t: hehe]

Today is 1/24/2014.

Aka 24/01/2014.

Hence 2401 ~ 2014.

Same digits, permuted.

(Have to ask, too tired to compute:
From 2000 to 2999, how many such are there?
What about from 1000 to 9999?)

For years 2000 through 2999, I get 866 such dates. This assumes identity permutations are allowed. There are 119 exact matches for DDMM with the 4-digit year in this period (none for MMDD), if you care about that.

For years 1000 through 9999, I get 4023 such dates. I assume either Julian or Gregorian calendar, and year number always changing on January 1.

Today Jan 30, 14
(30 mod 14 ) + 1 = 3 = prime
