I tired the MISFIT today for the first time.
After the initial configuration I pushed “Add Work” It reserved 25 exponents. I pushed “Assign Work” I went to Prices Control – Start Batch, and mfaktc started cranking. But when it was done with the 25 exponents, nothing happened. How do I configure MISFIT to get more work and submit results automatically without my intervention? Thank you
Go through all the configuration options. The defaults should work fine but I think you will need to get more than 25 assignments since GIMPS is assigning out a lot of 66,68 bit levels recently and they will process VERY fast. You might need hundreds to last just a few hours or you could set the Re-write TO bit level to 2^ = 71 and they will process to higher levels, taking more time and giving you the appropriate additional credits. A reasonable number of GhDzToDo for one day of processing is 450 (for a GTX 570). You should have work assigned out and work staged in enough quantity that MISFIT can just keep things going. Knowing your cards output and your system capabilities are key to making advanced decisions on MISFIT configuration. I hope that helps. |
Thanks

What is “draining?”
If I leave “Drain MISFITworkToDo…” setting at “0” it does not affect automatic work fetching, does it? Or do I need to set this to get the things rollong? Thank you. |
What does “Export Results” do? I clicked it and it said I had nothing to export even though I have many lines in my results.txt.
Thank you |

Thank you.
Without knowing what card you have...... Set drain GhDz value to 200 Set fetch GhDz value to 400 Manually fetch until you have over 400 GhDz staged. |
This particular GPU is only doing 55 GHzD/D.
After running MISFIT for a few hours I have yet to see it fetching or reporting anything automatically. I have fetch set to 100 GhDz, and I just changed Drain from 0 to 100 GhDz. I will leave it running for a day and see what it does. Thank you. |

Attached screenshot show a normal configuration for two GTX 570s. |
The duplicate finder alone is worth it's weight in gold ;) It would have saved me a lot of time in the past dealing with all the manual assignments.
It's working well again. If anyone needs help setting up MISFIT for the first time or getting it configured, just let me know or PM me. |
