Forthcoming absences
 

If our team captain henryzz approves, I'd like to suggest that we use this thread to announce periods when we are not around, have no internet access, or just want to take a break from the game.

That way the team captain and other team members know that they don't have to wait for our contributions and voting before submitting our team's move.

Here's one already: I have a short 6-day vacation coming up, starting Sunday 21 October, returning Saturday 27 October. I am hoping there will be wifi in the hotel room, but even in that case my attendance may be only sporadic and the rest of you should not feel you have to wait for me in that period.:smile:

Good idea. I have slightly patchy internet until late on the 10th. I should be on most days. I will probably not be on on Sunday.

I'm currently in South Carolina for my nephew's wedding but I have internet access.

I'm off to Antimony, Utah today to spend the weekend at a ranch. No cell phone nor internet access. I'll be back in communication on Monday (15 Oct.) morning.

If you are ever in the area of Provo, Utah you should stop by. :-)

My return date has since been moved to Sunday 28 October. Possibly I will be around occasionally during the coming week, or possibly I will be completely out of contact. In any case, please don't wait specially for my contributions during the coming week before sending any move. Thanks.

I'm back from backpacking and had a great weekend. I even saw the Pan-Starr comet, first with binoculars and then as as slight smudge barely visible to the naked eye.

Reading the Vote Chess thread, it appears that our opponents have their hands full dealing with one of their members!
