good work again Scott !
thank you. Norman |

1.Ability to send email alert when remaining GHZDayToDo drops below threshold 2. On gridStatsUpdate the footer row is always made visible (scrolled to) to keep it in view. This is useful if you have more than 15 instances at which time the scroll-bars become active. [I could not find a way to freeze the bottom row where it was always visible no matter where the scroll position is. I can do it for top rows, but not bottom row] Get from SkyDrive http://sdrv.ms/QsaP9Y |
It seems I get a stall alert when mfaktx isn't running?

Are you sure it is not running? I not smart enough to write a program that becomes self aware! Verify it is not in the systray or showing taskManager after you exit. Keep me posted. thx |
Misunderstood.

mfaktXapp cannot determine why the checkpoint files are not changing and therefore you will get a stall detection if you stop mfaktO/C. The key here is that for GPU farms the mfaktO/C instance are on remote machines. Use the Suspend Automation feature or stop mfaktXapp. See screenshot. |

Thanks, I understand
[stupid_rant] Yay, day's are getting colder, 5C outside now, time to overcloooock and maybe push it a bit :D Ok, the only reason I'm in the top 5 in the team is because many have "dropped for the season" or many other... the only reason I'm there with my pathetic firepower... [/stupid_rant] |
Kracker are you OK?
Thanks, I understand

Dude! Your firepower looks pretty respectable to me. How many cores?! While the GPUs deliver tremendous throughput, when I am at full strength two thirds of my hex core CPU is dedicated to driving mfaktc. Even OC'd to 3.6 GHz on the 1090T, it really takes four cores to saturate the GTX 570. I'm using three right now on the GTX 460.
I lucked out on the 460, catching it as a close out at MicroCenter for just over $100 after rebate. The 570 was really a self-indulgent splurge, and cost about twice as much on Ebay. (I have to note that I also had to upgrade the PSU to run two GPUs, swap in more powerful case and CPU fans, and cut a 120mm hole in the left side panel to mount a third 120mm x 38mm Ultra-Kaze to blow on the GPUs.) Cut yourself some slack, Jack!
Thanks, I understand  [stupid_rant] Yay, day's are getting colder, 5C outside now, time to overcloooock and maybe push it a bit :D Ok, the only reason I'm in the top 5 in the team is because many have "dropped for the season" or many other... the only reason I'm there with my pathetic firepower... I would guess you're right about the i5. Dual core HT-enabled, 2.5-3.1 GHz, right?
My Phenom II does moderately well combined with GPUs, but uses more power than i-5/7s. Further, it takes fewer i-something cores to feed mfaktX on any given GPU. You've put together an interesting farm from disparate elements. Here's a thought- can you estimate what your collection uses at full load? For me, with x6 1090T @ 3.6 GHz, GTX 570, GTX 460, the main box alone draws about 670 watts, according to a Kill-a-Watt. Right now, in "economy mode", with the 570 on a Fedex truck heading for City of Industry, CA, it's only pulling ~380 watts. This excludes the ~90 watts for the monitor, which is hooked up separately. It is much quieter under the desk. EDIT: 670 watts is 2x P-1 on 2-3.6 GHz CPU cores, 4x mfaktc on GTX 570 @ 810 MHz, CUDALucas on GTX 460 @ 810 MHz |

I don't have a device to measure power consumption, however, I believe most of them don't have a TDP over 50W (except for the one which powers my gpu) |
