And this is what I believe:

All I state is that there was for sure a man named Jesus, at the time and place. The fact that his parents were named Joseph/Marie or any other fact is not included in my statement.

Given that the variants like Yeshua that we now call Jesus was one of the most common names of the time you can probably rest assured that there was at least one alive in the 50 years or so time span that the Mythical Jesus was said to have lived in. You'd even have good odds that at least one had a mother named Mary and a father named [STRIKE]YaHVeH[/STRIKE] Joseph.

Thanks for that link. I had Yeshua/Joshua, etc floating around in my head but wasn't sure of the details.

It's a slight paraphrase of the former Pope.

We're going to Heck, Chap.

Some would argue that we deserve it. They have a good case, especially considering that we atheists apparently don't know how to properly torture someone on a Catherine wheel.

Practice makes perfect.
What I find is a little strange is you claim you know things you cannot.

I say again, you come across like a preacher.
Why can I not? (No ppreaching intended, ever).
