Thanks, and now I see how it is done. Though I'm likely to forget by the next time I need it.
I must be the pedantic one of which was spoken.
Pedanticism in the defense of atheism is no vice !

(Well, actually, I think it is. as well as for theism.
But provably not for agnosticism, of couse :smile: )

This turned up on my partner's computer. It is part of a large collection of atheism and FSM-related art work.
There are times when my senses tell me that the world is spinning around me.
At other times, my senses tell me that the world contains moving, vaguely shaped colourful objects apparently nearby but quite intangible.
By your reasoning they are doubtless real shapes and the world undoubtedly spins around me on occasion.
I don't know whether these sensations you mean are something you would
identify as hallucinatory or imaginative, hence whether my observation that
all knowledge is ultimately based on the senses
We are dependent on our senses (for perception, hence concepts, hence all knowledge), but what they pass on to us is really real.
implies that your experiences are a truly spinning world (around you) or
real shapes (of what?). But your ability and responsibility to identify what
you actually saw at the sensation level would allow you and others to know
for sure what those perceptions involved.

But as for their reality, of course (as long as your description accurately
depicted true experiences) the sensations were real. How you interpret
them is open to your scientific scrutiny.

"God Rest Ye, Unitarians"
Lyrics by the Rev. Christopher Gist Raible of the First Unitarian Church of Worcester

God rest ye, Unitarians, let nothing you dismay;
Remember there's no evidence there was a Christmas Day;
When Christ was born is just not known, no matter what they say,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact.

There was no star of Bethlehem, there was no angels' song;
There could have been no wise men for the trip would take too long.
The stories in the Bible are historically wrong,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact!

Our current Christmas customs come from Persia and from Greece,
From solstice celebrations of the ancient Middle East.
We know our so-called holiday is just a pagan feast,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact.

Atheism:

The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.
Yeah... Christianity:
The belief that there was nothing, and from this nothing, magically, a God appeared for no reason, who magically created everything, and magically arranged everything into self-replicating bits, which then got out of control, eating forbidden fruits... whatever...

Long live Doodle God... THIS is the real history, you (all) have no idea about. You should all play it... Playing God is fun :smile:

It is MUCH funnier then building bridges, assuming you don't skip the intros and READ ALL the quotes... Anyhow, playing God is wonderful... :razz:

Then tell us if after that, how much of you are still Christian... (or Atheist, hehe).

(Don't tell me how idiotic some of the "constructions" are, isn't all the life/religion/whatever/ like that? You can freely use the hints, which are available every 3 minutes or so).
