Nice find! Too bad it isn't a factor of MM2976221...

BTW, I had some issues with the scripting features of pfgw.

Trying to use GwPowMod and test divisibility of huge ks, I noticed that when k>1,000,000 the result is always 0, no matter what the exponent or the factor is.

Did you also notice such behavior? Maybe there iis a note in the readme that I skipped...

MM36 behind schedule

Hi all,

As you all know, I am trying to test k's of big double Mersennes starting from MM34.

Unfortuntely, due to my lack of resources, MM36 is lying behind, so I'm looking for some volunteer that wants to help. Actually, MM36' k have been reserved up to k=30,000.

Please note that each k of MM36 needs less than 4 hours to be PRPed, and in case it is found prime, you have a nice 900,000 digits prime to add to your collection.

Is there anybody out there that wants to :help: ?
In case, I can provide my list of ks, presieved up to 2.5T.

Luigi,

Can LLR be used?
Luigi,

Carlos
I used pfgw, but I heard LLR can work equally well on it. It takes an abc file as input:

ABC 2*$a*(2^2976221-1)+1 // $a is the k to be tested
k
k
k
k

I would like to test a few candidates using LLR.

With pfgw you can do about 6 candidates per day per core on a i5-750.
The range 30,000-40,000 has 187 candidates.

How many k do you want? 6, 18, 36, 72, 90 or 187?
Hand-taylored just for you...

I want all because I want to dedicate two cores during one week to your effort but I want to use LLR instead of pfgw.

Edit: Please prepare me the LLR input file. If I get excited by this search I have more 6 cores I can spare to the search. Thank you in advance.

It is not working. The client crashes.

Luigi, Batalov helped me with the input files so you can reserve the range 30,000-40,000 for me.
