My result matched yours.
Sweet, thanks! So -0.1 on the VCore is stable. I'll go lower tonight. |
I finally found time to get my GPU machines back up and running again. I got a mismatch on [M]40637893[/M] in case anyone wants to TC it.
Edit: This new 2^P-1 button is nice. |
MadPoo already queued it.

Anyone feel like doing a quad-check on this one?
M42703169 I know it looks like a mere triple-check, but it's one of those goofy false positives, and in this case the first guy to test it got it wrong as well. The magic, hidden result will appear as soon as (hopefully) my result is matched. |

M42703169
I took it. |
I took it.
Thanks! Until the false positive is successfully verified, George and I get daily emails about "new primes" found. LOL That's one reason I try to do my own test quickly. Fortunately most (but not all) if that user's false positives come from double-checks he does so my own test usually puts it to rest. |
As expected yours matched: http://mersenne.org/M42703169
and it turned out to be another one of Xolotl's Xtravaganza Xponents. |

There's no wiki page for "madpoo" so now I'm jealous. LOL The genesis of my alias is boring... I was at a youth camp one summer and one of the other kids (honest, it wasn't me!) had a bad habit of dropping a deuce and not flushing. We nicknamed him the "mad pooper" and years later when I got into computers, my weird sense of humor kicked in and I thought "mad poo" would be a hilarious moniker. Was I right? |
We nicknamed a fellow camper 'Skid Mark' for a related reason.

I just completed the DC of 39933121
It made me sad to see that someone had taken the test to 94.1% in about 21 days, and then let it expire for lack of checking in, I suppose. They could have finished in less than two days. Maybe a triple check will appear some day. EDIT: It also seems that UCLA Mathematics had cycles to burn in 2009, as they ran back-to-back LL, which one might guess took the computer about nine days each. I guess that self-checking, might be done to avoid submitting bad results, or just to ease one's mind about the result in advance of someone like me coming along almost 8 years later to officially verify it. |
