As for features: my no.1 request is a way to check if a number (an expression) is in DB without adding it to the DB in the process when it's not.
I'm pressed for time and sorry I'm not of more help ATM, but I recall someone telling me how to do this quite some time ago, so I think the method already exists, if someone can explain it. If no one does, I'll try to find the earlier reference when I have a bit more time, hopefully later today.

As a supplement: If this can be implemented, make it the default behavior when searching for formulas. This should reduce a lot of database-flooding...

Agreed!

Number of composites below 120 digits dropped significantly from ~900K to 714K during last week. Personally I've cracked ~1600 C100's (>80% by gnfs) and numerous C8x. It looks someone working below C80 - from time to time DB was flooded with 2-3 thousands of small composites but cleared pretty fast.

Let’s see how much I can help in 24 hours.

I still have some machines working from 79 dd up within a window of about 100 numbers.

That's me. They arrive in bursts and then my systems grind through factoring them.

The factordb enhancement I would most like is a low limit on how fast new numbers can be added and a mush higher limit for adding factors of a number already in factordb. That would make it a lot easier to keep up with new additions.

Since my post I’ve cleaned more than 5500 composites below 74.

The "search for formula" functionality should probably be temporarily disabled... how many person (other than the spammers) are actually using it anyway?

Looks like I’ve reached my hourly limit of 2000 page requests. Is there away to work around this? Increase lower bound to a higher composite size?

It used to be 15000 before, but after the limitations were restored it was set to 2000 now. I also feel like it should be a higher number...
