Trial Factoring on AMD/ATI GPU's?

Is it possible? I really want to know how. All I see are CUDA-based programs. My GPU doesn't support CUDA.

You'll want the mfacto thread. (O for OpenCL)

and
the following post

Please please read the FAQ thread BEFORE posting. It explains everything, including which programs are available and where to get them.

Dubslow, if you're referring the FAQ I'm thinking of, then it doesn't appear to mention AMD/ATI GPUs. If those GPUs aren't useful atm, that's fine, but the FAQ doesn't cover that either way, unless I missed where it said that. :)

Double-checking now, I'll come back and edit if I'm wrong.

Edit:lol, it did "mention" AMD/ATI GPUs, just not by name, just stated "alternative GPUs" or something. As common as these GPUs are it might be smart to specifically refer to them in that answer.

The PDF in the FAQ has one section each for mfaktc, mfakto (AMD) and CUDALucas. Perhaps the first post just needs a revamp. Mods?

Programs for AMD GPUs (OpenCL):

- Mfakto https://github.com/preda/mfakto

- gpuOwl https://github.com/preda/gpuowl

- clLucas http://www.mersenneforum.org/cllucas/

Also, the primetools scripts are very useful.

The mfakto-stats.sh script shows for me the following data:

10 factors in 650 exponents tested = 1.53 %

See the Available Software thread, conveniently sticky in the gpu computing subforum. Or go directly to http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?p=488291#post488291 post two of the Mersenne Prime GPU Computing reference material for client software, post 3 for client management software. Suggestions for improvement are welcome.
