FactorDB is moving to another server this night -> some downtime

Some news:

The server currently running the factorDB is getting old. The CPU fan got quite noisy a while ago, and since today the power supply is making strange sounds.

Instead of replacing it I decided to move the database over to my root server.
Its a lot faster than the old one, but also runs all my other websites. This means the load average has to stay low to keep the other sites responsive. But still there will be more cpu power left than there is now.

I´ll start uploading everything this night - guess it takes till tomorrow morning. The site will be offline for this time. Also had to remove the scan-button. It´ll be back later.

If anything goes wrong there is another backup I just made. And the old server.

On this way: Thanks to everyone who contributed!

And done.

I hope everything is working!

Or not til later?

I plan to replace the scan-button, but later.

Any thought into having ECM reporting and logs, like the early days? :-)

A DB Worker script may time-out with 200 CPU seconds if not logged in.

It seems that the DB is no longer doing trial factoring on new composites -- at least, when I query an Aliquot sequence, the last term is now typically a single composite, even though it may have a number of small factors (like 2).

I've seen this too. When I clicked on the number the DB displayed the smaller factors.

Update: Automatic trial factorization works.

Maybe. I just grabbed an old backup with the ecm data, lets see if it can be imported ..

Good idea. This might lower the load average a bit.

Forgot to upload this file. Should work now.

Fixed this one.

Btw: I´m exporting the last line of every aliquot sequence to a seperate file now. It wont update, its just whats in the db now. If anyone has a use for it:

The file is still growing.
