600 P-1 completions on GPU-to-72 (27 factors) = 4.5%.
Moving on to GPU-to-72 DC. I was hoping for 1,000 in 2012 but I'm gonna need a little more hardware first.
Thanks for all your work petrw1, and for being the first big P-1 contributor!!! Looks like monst, delta_t et al are going to be able to help fill the void you leave behind. |
Question: It's a well known fact that PrimeNet isn't good at handing out credit for TF factors found. A 71-->72 bit run is ~4 GHz Days. I turned in a factor, got 11GHzDays credit, not unexpected. However, GPU to 72 shows 9 GHz Days; should be less than 4. (For reference: 47930807)
Edit: Well I suppose it's not really a question, but still... (Also, edit2: Available shows 65 expos at 69 bits, but I can't get anything to 70. Everything I get at 71 is already at 70, but there are clearly 65 available at 69 bits. Just a note, probably not a bug.) |

I'm terribly sorry Dubslow. G72 gives the same GHz Days credit for a factor found between n and n+1 as a no factor found effort between n and n+1. In 47,930,807's particular case, the predicted credit is 9.97803659 GHz days. This over-credits you. I will have to leverage further James' code to determine exactly how much (read: how much less) credit should be awarded for a factor found.
Now it's between you and LaurV in the Overall category.
Be at easy guys, I will resume my LL/DC soon. It was just an over-the-holiday pride-boost to raise my status a bit, and as soon as my current assignment is gone, I will go back to LL stuff again. |
Not a bug. Have you tried clicking on the "Lowest Depth Available" option on the LL/TF reservation page?
With and without. (Go to assignment page, change 72 to 70, and hit button. Optional check before hitting button.)
Sorry... No available exponents which match your criteria.
|

It's all good. The work progresses. |

That's because there are no candidates which need to be TFed from 69 to 70... Try "hitting the button" without changing 72 to 70. |

Has listed the bottom 65 for the last three or four hours; the top four are new in the last 20 minutes. (Still not working, even for the new ones.) On an unrelated note, what's the overall P-1 rate of grabbed exponents (over the lifetime of the project) and what's the overall rate of released exponents? Are we going from 40 to 50%? 40 to 80%? (And how many actual P-1 assignments would that be?) |
EDIT: As happens, your prediction has come about. I think a upswing of results from delta_t bumped me from the Overall Top 10. I'm still hanging in there on the TF graph. Now it's between you and LaurV in the Overall category.
As far as our 460's go, this is always interesting... FWIW, we've swapped places a time or two. I think our TF outputs must be nearly identical, as might be expected with very similar hardware. I'm not a sports follower of any sort, so I suppose the bit of amusement I get from PrimeNet ranks fills some of the gap. Then there's politics.....but I stay away from that in this venue, even over at the Lounge. |
I'm not too sure. As I've now I'm slightly over 100 GD behind you... and my unreported work I don't think was worth that much. I'm pretty sure you've got slightly greater throughput than me.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm getting 95% load without an OC, and with OC, the load only decreases. So I think that's where your extra juice is coming from. |
