Not exactly about GPU272 status, but somehow related...
GIMPS Visualization reports (Exponent Status and Trial Factored Depth) not updating since 2012.08.02 07:17 UTC.
Yeah... Unfortunately the Internet connection for the machine here in Barbados which collects and processes the data for that is having problems at the moment. And it's a long weekend, so it won't be fixed before Tuesday at the earliest...

I'll see if one of my North American based servers can take over the job.

Fair enough. No panic...
BTW, enjoy your long weekend!

With Xyzzy changing his resources from TF to P-1, it'll be interesting to see how the saved metric pans out. As Xyzzy still has some decent CPU resources. Also I'm concentrating on "to 2^73" which drops my 'saved metric' rate.

As of posting this the saved metrics are:
171,630 Craig Meyers (aka me)
117,975 Xyzzy
As of posting this the saved metrics are:

117,975 Xyzzy
To simplify bookkeeping and to make our graphs remotely readable, we created a new PrimeNet account and thus we are starting from zero.

With luck, our old account will stay in the GIMPS top ten overall (combined, since GIMPS began) for a month or two. It is vicious territory up there!

(We estimate we can output ~75 GHz/days/day on P-1.)

75GHz-days/day P-1, yields about 25 P-1 attempts @4% chance of finding factor. So on average, that's about 1 factor per day, which is about 200GHz-days/day saved.

Looking at my stats with work to 2^73, I see about 4x factors a day.

Very rough figures.

More difference than what I thought.

As for top10 - looking across all work, I'm 3rd for the year. I'd need 1x more GTX580ish to be confident of reaching 2nd. But I'd need to almost double my GPU count to get 1st.

Yes it's brutal.

(Current farm is 2x GTx560Ti, 5x GTX580, 1x GTX460 & 1x i5-3450 for P-1 ).

What's interesting for me, I have 2x nodes running windows developer preview and windows release preview. They expire in January.

I'd also need the CPU resources/power to run it :)

I'm only in a single bedroom apartment. :)

I'm pretty much at the limit I've what I want to get to. I'm keen to increase my P-1 resources. I don't want to get too far behind there. I've built a pretty cool P-1 node, I'm keen to replicate.

This is what my head at the moment.

Looking at the current work available I see:
Work,number of exponents
to 71,1576
to 72,3085
to 73,18749

This translates to rough percentage of GHz-days as:
to 71,2%
to 72,9%
to 73,90%

90% of the work on gpu2-72 is work 2^72-2^73

So are people taking to 2^73 bit work on?

Given, what I've just written, I grabbed a whole swag of 2^73bit work.
