Choose your own exponent?

Is there anyway to choose your own exponent to test if you are sure it is prime and it is not in status.txt and cleared.txt ?

You can test your own exponent in prime95 with the advanced/test menu option.

To unlock the advanced options, you need a simple password. That password is given in the description of the advanced menu in the readme.txt file.

But if you manually test exponents, the server is not tracking your work.

You could use the manual check-out page, but I understand that the selection of primes available there is somewhat limited, so as to reduce overlap with the work being coordinated by the PrimeNet server.

Alternatively, you may email George for the exponent as well. But since he handles all email himself it may be too much of a burden on him.
