Edit: Found a nice little way to honor Arnie just now - was in line at my local Java dive behind a gaggle of mainland-Chinese students from the community college across the street. (Well-off Chinese parents sending their kids to school/ESL for a few years is a very popular sport around here). They were all ordering iced drinks on this nasty-hot day in California, and one of them was asking about iced tea and what he could sweeten it with, fruity-syrup-wise. I said "how about an Arnold Palmer?" (iced tea + lemonade). He ordered that, and when is friends tasted it, they promptly ordered 2 more.

(Of the first incident I mentioned, 4 people were shot, all of whom were bystanders. The other 3 suffered non critical wounds. Edit: I suppose I should note that I walked by the exact same spot as some of the victims around 10 minutes prior.)

His Academy visited Amsterdam last year, and Brian & I went to their concert, which was superb.

While perusing IMDB bios for several folks in the 1949 old-man-on-campus comedy [i]Mr. Belvedere Goes to College[/i] just now, came across this May death of a character familiar to most 1960s TV fans:
