I am sorry to hear of Martin's demise. His influence on the Beatles was enormous.

On the other hand, when I saw the post, my first fear was the George R R Martin had kicked the bucket without finishing A Song of Ice and Fire. We need at least two more massive tomes from him, but I think the HBO series is taking most of his time.
