One our favorite short stories is the one he wrote about the twins and the prime numbers.

Hatshepsut.

Although you've not knowingly heard of the one bearing this name I did announce her arrival earlier:
We also persuaded ourselves that we should take on another catlet, this one about 7 months old and of the female persuasion. Its booster vaccinations are due next week and we'll pick it up the day after.
Aw man - just last night caught this old western-themed remake of the Bogey film 'Sahara', starring (in the female lead) Barbara Hale (best-known as Perry Mason's longtime secretary Della Street ... she is still alive, now in her 90s) and featuring a 21-year-old Martin Milner - already something of a Hollywood veteran by then - as a young cavalry officer. Had not heard of his death at that point.

But, he had a long, fine career, and a long life - his IMDB bio has this as his only personal quote: 'I have no complaints on any level. I'm pretty happy about the way everything turned out.' Fun bit of trivia: He and David Janssen, who met on army duty at Ford Ord, CA in the early 1950s, were responsible for nudging Clint Eastwood, then a swimming instructor at the base, to go into acting.
But, he had a long, fine career, and a long life
He was one of a handful of actors to do the Jack Webb triple of Dragnet, Adam-12, and Emergency. Fun fact: in one episode of Emergency Gage and DeSoto talk about watching Adam-12, in which those characters had appeared.
