I know Paul. Also having half of the family from Brazil it was expected to have knowledge about both countries, jokes, football, etc. Same as between Portugal and Spain. My comment was related to be a sarcastic one, as you British well do it.

He was 85.

Prowse died Saturday after a short illness, his agent Thomas Bowington said Sunday.
<snip>
Prowse was also known to a generation of British children as the Green Cross Code Man, a superhero in a series of road safety advertisements during the 1970s and '80s.
<snip>
"Ant-Man" director Edgar Wright also paid tribute to Prowse on Twitter.

"As a kid Dave Prowse couldn't be more famous to me; stalking along corridors as evil incarnate in the part of Darth Vader & stopping a whole generation of kiddies from being mown down in street as the Green Cross Code man," he wrote. "Rest in Peace, Bristol's finest."
Yep. We used to call him Manadona (mana=hand, Spanish mano, dona=to give, donate).

Rest in peace!

I saw him play for the Chicago White Sox. About the hardest I ever saw a baseball get hit was a home run he hit in (old) Comiskey Park. It didn't quite clear the roof high above the stands, but it came mighty close. It landed on top of the near side of the roof, and rolled back down, landing in the outfield.

EDIT: Something seemed odd about this one. The name just didn't seem right. It suddenly dawned on me: When he was playing, everyone called him Richie Allen.
