The whole scene in Holy Grail with Arthur debating government with the peasants is several minutes of comedic brilliance.When Arthur explains Excalibur and why he is king, the response is "Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a government!"

Copterline went bankrupt and no matter what the compensation, those dead people sure won't suddenly come back to life.

The helicopter was flying in bad conditions (fog, poor visibility) that had caused police to ground their choppers, but it sounds like it fell out of the sky rather than flying into something.

I find it interesting that in a [i]forum dedicated to a branch of mathematics[/i] there is much
more discussion about the death of a basketball player than there was about several
well known mathematicians.

I regret anyone's untimely demise, with the exceptions of those whom I consider to be malign presences. However, I consider professional sports, at least as operated in the US, to be parasitic. This does not reflect on the players so much as the owners. There are people whose fame comes from sports who have positive influences on society. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar comes to mind as an example, for the social commentary pieces he writes.
I don't know much about Kobe Bryant as a person. My reaction to this crash is that such things are among the penalties of material success. Other examples of these penalties can be seen in some of the members of the [URL="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/27_Club"]"Twenty-seven Club"[/URL] of rock musicians and other artists.

"Dedicated" is a little too emphatic IMO. "Primarily concerned with " is the phrase I'd use. A large part of the attraction to me is the extra-curricular activity as exemplified by the Lounge, Soapbox, Hobbies, etc.
