Coral is (I think) mostly calcium carbonate, which is a bit on the alkaline side, but not in concrete's league. Hmm. I guess acidifying the soil might eat away the coral, and you'd have a sinkhole where your lawn should be.

Geez, with basically solid coral underfoot, explosives would probably be a spectacularly bad idea, with headlines like "Island of Barbados mysteriously sinks."
