Oslo deserved better than this.

At least 80 people shot on the island and 7 killed in the bomb blast. I have personally walked in the area where the blast would have been felt, within the area of this map.
It is the city of the Nobel Peace Prize which is awarded about 1 km from the site.

Now known to be at least 80 killed at the camp, not counting the injured but still living.

Terrible.
It is the city of the Nobel Peace Prize which is awarded about 1 km from the site.
... though admittedly, it's less than the number of people killed by Nobel Peace Prize recipients.

My first read on this was that you meant "directly" killed, i.e. as if some recipients have killed with their own hands.

I'm not sure your first take was very far from the mark, when you
consider some of the recipients.

I'm familiar with some recipients histories, but not many. If anyone can find a statistics to support the original remark, I would be interested.

Over 90 innocent people died at the hands of one person. Go start your own thread if you want to discuss the other thing.

It's hard to know what to say here to remain on topic. I guess you intended this as a condolence register, Uncwilly? If so, it's a noble intention. Some forum members are from Norway, I believe. Maybe even from the city of Oslo? The shell-shock and grief that people directly connected must be feeling is unimaginable.

There's another nice online initiative to allow people to show their solidarity with those affected in Norway. You can put your name, age, city/state and country, and choose out of a few "shadow avatars", and you will be depicted holding hands in solidarity with everyone else who signs here. At this moment more than 430,000 people have signed up. Click here.
